Join us for a workshop on collecting, cleaning, storing and starting native seeds. Seed material and all tools and supplies will be provided. Participants will be able to take home some seeds.
Attendees will also learn how to start seeds in recycled milk jugs using a technique called winter sowing. You are welcome to bring your own clean plastic milk jugs. Some milk jugs will be provided. Workshop participants will be able to bring home seeds started in a milk jug.
Educational materials and refreshment will be provided. All ages welcome.
Attendance is free for members of the Native Plant Society of Staten Island. (Not a member? Join today.) Non-members are welcome with a $5 materials fee.
We request that participants bring an empty, clean gallon milk jug.
