Video: Our Native Pollinator Garden

Volunteers from The Native Plant Society of Staten Island were able to create a native pollinator garden at Christ Church in New Brighton thanks to a donation of 550 plants from the Xerces Society. This video by Lenny Librizzi shows the process of picking up the plants and doing the planting. A bee hotel to attract native bees was also installed thanks to Green Stinger Beekeeping. The garden will be dedicated to Virginia Sherry, the founder of the Native Plant Society of Staten Island, who was a tireless advocate for native plants.
