The Native Plant Society of Staten Island is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a grant of a Native Plant Habitat Planting kit by the Xerces Society.

The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation is a science based nonprofit organization that protects wildlife through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitat. The kit includes over 550 native pollinator-friendly wildflowers, grasses, sedges, and shrubs. We will be receiving the kit for planting in late May–early June.

We would not have received this kit without the support of our members and Facebook followers and contributors. Thanks to all who made this possible. We will announce the planting dates and ask for planting helpers in a future Facebook post and on this website.
