Earth Day at Fort Hill Park

Help us transform Fort Hill Park into a Pollinator Garden! Fort Hill Park is at the corner of Westervelt and Hendricks Avenues. Just walk up the hill! Celebrate Earth Day in partnership with the Greenbelt Native Plant Center, a division of the NYC Parks Department. Saturday and Sunday, April 26 and 27, 10am–3pm.

Celebrate Earth Day in partnership with The Greenbelt Native Plant Center and Fort Hill Park! Volunteers are needed to help transform Fort Hill Park into a pollinator garden. Fort Hill Park is a triumph of community organizing. Through local effort, this spot at the crest of the highest hill in St. George was protected from development, preserving a wooded oasis in one of the most densely populated parts of Staten Island.

At this event, we will:

Learn how to identify and remove harmful invasive plants
Plant native species that will attract and feed birds, bees, and butterflies
Join the community to learn, exercise, and meet our neighbors

There will also be a huge yard sale, with 100% of the proceeds going to support this project.
